Windermere Station has regular connections from Oxenholme and Kendal, and is about 2.5 miles away from us.

The nearest airport is Manchester which is about 85 miles away, followed by Newcastle (114 miles) and Birmingham (170 miles).

If you prefer to travel by car, we're not far from the M6, and there is ample secure car parking within the grounds of the Hotel. Directions follow.

M6 from South

Take Exit 36 then follow the A591 until you reach a roundabout (do not turn off at Kendal South). Take the first exit signposted Crook and Bowness (B5284) for 7.5 miles. When you reach the Stop sign at the end, turn left onto Lyth Valley Road (A5074), Fayrer Garden House Hotel is 400 yards on the right.

M6 from North

Take Exit 40 (Penrith) then follow the A66 towards Keswick. At Threlkeld, turn left signposted Windermere through St. John's in the Vale. Follow the A591 to Windermere. Turn right at mini roundabout towards Bowness, right again at the next mini roundabout then first left (Kendal Road). Keep straight on then follow the Lyth Valley Road (A5074) for one mile.
